ENTRANCE EXAM
|
Admissions to majority of
professional colleges in India, mainly for medical and engineering courses are
done on the basis of entrance examination prescribed for particular university
or region.
Except for IIT, most of the entrance
test is objective based with four choices. The positive responses carry 4(x)
marks and negative responses carry (-)1(x) mark(s). Hence, students have to be
careful while answering and should attempt only those they are sure of.
For Engineering, the entrance exam
will have papers in Maths, Physics and Chemistry with questions in 5:3:2 ratio.
(Maths 5(x), Physics 3(x), Chemistry 2(x)).
For Medical, Dentistry, Para
medicals, etc. the subjects will be Biology, Chemistry, and Physics with the
questions in 5:3:2. (Biology 5(x), Chemistry 3(x), Physics 2(x)).

EXAM TIPS

In order to score well in the
entrance exam, one has to be very thorough with the basics. It will save time
while taking the test since much time need not be spent fro comprehension

Do not take blind guesses as wrong
answers carry negative markings

As the time is
limited, first fill in the answers you are sure of
and then return to other
questions. Ideally give 1 minute for each question.
